A recent initiative of a local Bourke family opening a business dedicated to driving efficiency in all areas of water use. According to Sam, the manager of Darling Irrigation, “ We offer water solutions that satisfy the producer’s requirements but we are ever mindful of the limited rescource. We use the latest moisture monitoring technology, and employ best practice design techniques building inherent efficiencies into all our systems” Sam said of his new enterprise

“In Bourke we live in a dry part of a very dry continent, this helps our producers maintain their reputation for landing extremely high quality product at markets, including wool, cotton, and fruit. Water management is critical if we are to maintain this production to the ultimate benefit of urban Australia.”
